WARNING: Don’t underestimate the power of a card.

Send a card; To a distant friend, a close relative, a child or the one you love. A few words and a thoughtful card can really make someone’s day. A card can mean a million words and hugs wrapped up in a little piece of paper. Perhaps it is just that little thing we need.

5 reasons to send a card

  1. Tell someone you love them and how much they mean to you.

  1. To Show appreciation and gratitude. Say Thank you! Thank you for helping out, thank you for dinner, Thank you for the gift, going the extra mile, organising a great event, picking you up when you were feeling down or just being at the other end of the phone whenever you need them.

  1. Cards can help build relationships, friendships or your business. In a world where everything is pretty much online, sometimes a simple hand written message can be a breath of fresh air, and shows you’ve taken a little more thought and a personal touch when reaching out, rather than pinging an email over to someone.
  1. Share celebration’s. Congratulate your friends on a new house, passing a test or a promotion at work. Sometimes cards are kept for memories of special mile stones in people’s lives. Make their milestones a little more precious.
  1. Happy Birthday, Welcome to the world little one, Happily Ever After. Big life events such as Christenings, birthdays and weddings all deserve a card too.

When sending cards I like to head it with a date incase it is saved. Whenever it is draw from the memory box the date can help trigger why a card was given. I don’t know about you, but I like to stock up on card’s. It’s good to have a stash on them, just in case. You never know when it might just be what’s needed. I enjoy sending them and thinking of uplifting quotes making them unique and personal. Furthermore, I love receiving cards and sticking them up on the mantel piece as some form of trophy.
